What do Ski Patrollers Do?

Ski patrollers duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ski area and general resort risk management
  • First aid, transportation and extended Advanced Emergency Care of injured guest and stakeholders
  • Provision of information and education to guest
  • Hazard identification and marking
  • Daily assessment, opening and closing of ski area, cross country trails and toboggan runs
  • Barrier fencing and hazardous area identification signage of ski area
  • Liaison with Ambulance Victoria for casualty evacuation
  • After hours medical emergency call-outs to guests
  • Periodical sweeping of ski runs and trail
